Unknown serial - Jasta Boelcke - Ltn. d. R. Werner Voss - Spring to summer 1917
Status: Confirmed by photos
Radiator: both
Additional drag cables were installed between the upper wing and nose.
The airplane has been produced with wing equipped with central radiator. But later in 1917 the wing has been obviously replaced with new unit with offset radiator.
There are at least four stages of this aircraft's paintscheme developing. Following three are connected to Jasta Boelcke:
1) Red hearth and white, black outlined swastika were painted on fuselage side. Upper Wing with central radiator was installed.
2) Swastika was supplemented with green laurel wreath. It is possible, that this occurred very quickly after first stage, may be the same day. No change in radiator
3) Red hearth added to fuselage to decking. Wing replaced for unit with offset radiator.
The last stage occurred later with Jasta 5.
There were two white stripes painted on tupper surface of top wing in one time period.
