Unknown serial - Jasta 11 / Jasta 28w - Ltn. Karl Emil Schäfer - spring 1917
Status: Confirmed by photos
Radiator: Offset
The three pictures present the changes in appearance of the plane during spring 1917. At the beginning it had a black tail and fuselage aft of the cockpit. Than the fuselage and rudder crosses had been overpainted with thin layer of black color so the crosses still had been partially visible. At the end, after Schäfer's transfer to command Jasta 28w, fore of the fuselage was overpainted by dark color, probably red.
