Fokker Dr.I 454/17, Jasta 11, Ltn. Lothar von Richthofen
Fokker Dr.I was flown by Lothar von Richthofen from Jasta 11 on 13th March 1918 when the top wing leading edge of his Dreidecker collapsed. He successfully managed crash landing, but he suffered heavy injuries. It was his last flight together with his older brother Manfred.
This kit is OOB (SK) from Eduard non-proffipack 1/72 kit. It is my first airbrushed kit and the first one, where I have used the oil paint to visually engrave panel lines and to simulate dirt. The Fokker streaky camouflage can be seen under the yellow paint as on original pictures.
