German Fokker Aircraft
Fokker E.III 345/15
This Fokker E.III was flown by Oblt. Hans
Joachim Buddecke of Turkish Air force in 1916.
This kit is OOB (SK) from Eduard proffipack 1/72 kit. I have tried to simulate the desert weather influence by wash of oil paint on CDL parts.
Fokker Dr.I 545/17
This Fokker Dr.I was flown by Jasta 11
Staffelfuhrer Ltn. Hans Weiss during April/May 1918. It is assumed, that he has
been shot down in this machine on May 2nd by 209 Squadron's Sopwith Camel,
flown by Ltn Merril Taylor for his fifth victory.
This kit is heavily modified Roden 1/32 kit, as it has a lot of shortcomings. They are (among others) engine and its cowling, upper fuselage decking, undercarriage, cockpit, elevator and struts. I have described construction and modification of this model for Czech model magazine Modelar ( should be issued in number 2007/6)
Fokker Dr.I 454/17
Fokker Dr.I was flown by Lothar von
Richthofen from Jasta 11 on 13th March 1918 when the top wing leading edge of
his Dreidecker collapsed. He successfully managed crash landing, but he suffered
heavy injuries. It was his last flight together with his older brother Manfred.
This kit is OOB (SK) from Eduard non-proffipack 1/72 kit. It is my first airbrushed kit and the firs one, where I have used the oil paint to visually engrave panel lines and to simulate dirt. The Fokker streaky camouflage can be seen under the yellow paint as on original pictures.
Fokker D.VI
Fokker D.VI flown by pilots of Jasta 80b in
Marsburg during August 1918.
Just OOB from Eduard Kit. My second WWI at all.
Fokker D.VII
(OAW) 4499/18
This Fokker D.VII was flown by Vzflgmstr
Franz Mayer of MJF III during September 1918 as the unit was based in Jabbeke
This is the very new Eduard kit. As the aircraft was photographed without upper engine cowls, I have open the engine bay. Because of this, I have upgraded the engine with some tubing, igniter plugs and their leads. I have also added some parts of the fuselage construction to the engine bay. I made some minor upgrading in the cockpit. Otherwise it is OOB kit. The fuselage marking is airbrushed using painting masks.
Fokker E.V, 183/18
Fokker E.V of 7 Eskadra Kosciuszkowska as
flown by cpt. Stefan Bastyr during war with Russian bolsheviks during 1919.
Kit is built almost straight OOB from new Eduard kit. Just some small detailing has been done in cockpit
Fokker E.V
Fokker E.V of Marine Jagdgeschwader flown by
Oberleutnant zur See Theodor Osterkampf during autumn 1918.
Kit is built straight OOB from Flashback kit.
